Weekly Drop-in Classes

Our weekly meditation drop-in classes are taught by qualified Buddhist teachers, and are very easy to understand and apply to our daily lives. The classes are suitable for both beginners and more advanced practitioners, and emphasize how to use meditation and subsequent practices amidst the busyness of modern, daily life. The union of Buddha’s teachings within our daily life is the essence of Kadampa Buddhism.

All of our classes are currently being live streamed from Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia. 

 

Monday Night 6pm | online

Finding Direction with Gen Dornying (8 - 29 March)

Work hard, save money, buy a house, find that happily ever after. After a few years or decades of adulting, that formula doesn’t seem so great. Is it broken?

Buddha’s teachings, principally on how to find peace within, will give us the direction we’re looking for. Then, we can enjoy that house (or not); a career (or not) – confident that our life has meaning, purpose and direction. 

The course is designed sequentially, but you can join at any time. In-person and online.

Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully with Gen Dornying (weekly)​

We are alive, therefore we will die.

This is the simplest, most obvious truth, yet few of us have come to terms with this fact. 

Once we do, we’ll find the energy to use our life in a meaningful way, and to help others through this very natural process.

Join us online as Gen Dornying continues to give commentary to the book Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, an invaluable handbook to help ourselves and others and become free from trivial worries and concerns. 

 Although this class is run sequentially, you can join anytime.

Meditate, Pray, Love with Daisy McClelland (3 Mar - 24 Mar)

You don’t need to go to an ashram in India, eat pasta in Italy, or hang out with a medicine man in Bali. (Not that we’re against those things.)

Our daily life can become a spiritual journey.

In fact, making our life our spiritual practice is key to remaining calm and happy in this hectic world.

In this four-week course, learn meditations and practices that will help you transform every moment of your life into the spiritual path.

The Stages of the Path with Natalie Eichelmann (weekly)

Everyone knows that meditation is beneficial, but still we find it difficult to develop a regular practice. 

The Indian master Atisha condensed Buddha’s 84,000 teachings into just 21 essential meditations to help us improve our experience of daily happiness. We call this the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment, or Lamrim in Tibetan. Through practising these meditations we can learn to discover the inner peace of meditation and how to apply it to our daily life.

Take some time to sit down and meditate every Thursday evening and kick start your meditation practice.

Free Lunchtime Meditation with Gen Dornying (weekly) Hosted by Fed Square

Escape the stress and busyness of daily life to discover the peace of meditation for yourself in these free 30 minute meditation sessions. Be guided through simple meditations that relax the mind and body, leading to a deep experience of inner peace and contentment. Beginners welcome. Drop-in any week. There is no charge for any of these sessions.

What to Expect at A Class

Meditation & Buddhism classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our life and develop inner peace. Each class consists of two guided meditations and teachings to help us solve our daily problems, let go of negative minds and find the lasting happiness we seek.
