Tuesday 16, 23, 30 April | 7 May

Explore Buddha's teachings on navigating challenging conversations, relationships and situations, gaining insights into specialized methods that significantly enhance your ability to handle difficulty and achieve positive outcomes. Discover the transformative power of meditation, empowering you to approach challenges with productivity and happiness.

Instead of succumbing to feelings of anxiety, defensiveness, anger, depression, or overwhelm, meditation becomes a practice that equips you with the skills to navigate conflict and confrontation with clarity and confidence. Join our weekly drop-in classes to not only halt the dragging down effect of difficulties but also leave with practical tools that will empower you to face and overcome them.

It's time to transform the way you deal with difficult people and situations – making the seemingly impossible task of handling difficulties productively and even happily entirely possible!

Committed Study Program

Foundation Program

There is no better time to join the Foundation Study Program (FP). In early February 2024 the program started a new book, dedicated to exploring emptiness – the true nature of reality.

Based on the book ‘The New Heart of Wisdom’ by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, we will unite Buddha’s most profound teaching with daily life. It is the perfect opportunity to take your practice deeper, giving you the confidence and wisdom to progress to increasing levels of inner peace and happiness.

Taught by Centre Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Australia and Kadampa Meditation Centre (KMC) Melbourne, Kelsang Luma, this course offers the perfect opportunity to take your practice to a deeper level.

Joining FP involves studying the book and trying to attend all classes, one of which is an end-of-term exam. Each class consists of prayers, a guided meditation and a teaching. There are dedicated discussion classes. Live-stream correspondence students will have the opportunity to submit their questions to the discussion.

The class will be live streamed every Sunday afternoon from 12.30-4.30pm Darwin time and will be available to view for one week. There is also the option to view the class in a group setting on Wednesdays at 6.30pm.

If you are interested in joining the online Foundation Program please email darwin@kadampa.org.au for more information.
